In the details - Part One

In response to Antie Mir. Here are some more around the house type shots...

Dog butts... never gets old. This is what I come home to.

Recently I discovered if I took the doors off of the ugly cupboard and painted it white, I'd have built-ins! Who would have known. The Central Pharmacy print on the right came from a thrift store in Winnipeg, Canada. I think I bought them all actually. They are old bromide proofs that were used to create labels have their size. All of them are from the 40s to 50s. They were salvaged from a print shop. They were kind of expensive... and I LOVE them and that they relate to what I do today.

The bathroom is small. I needed a small rug. That black spot is the best $3 I've ever spent at Ikea.

The butcher block is old... and was a Christmas gift from my mom. She doesn't believe in lists and goes out of her way to buy something you never knew you wanted. She really hit the nail on the head.

These are my favourite. We were 'picking' (my new favourite verb and past-time... Thank you American Pickers). In an old building that was deep into a major reno/tear down. I found a box full of them and hooks were born. The best part was we all got to pull one/break the glass before we could takes the backs off.
