I have picked up a few tricks along the way and things are getting a bit easier. Although if I knew "half squares" were three times the work of "regular squares" I might have opted for a more simple one to start with.

Learning to make a quilt via YouTube: update
This is just an iphone picture so it isn't great. However, this is the progress I have made in the last month. (Two weeks of which I didn't touch it). Also, it is a little rumpled and needs a good iron.
